The Music
I look forward to ministering together with you on Reformation Sunday, October 27, 2024. The choir will sing as a part of the 9:30 AM service. Our anthem is God Is Our Refuge by Allen Pote. The words are based on Psalm 46: “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in times of trouble. Therefore, we will not fear.” This majestic piece is rhythmically energetic while being in a minor key. We will also present a setting of Romans chapter 8, All Things. For our third piece, as I suppose you could have guessed, the choir will sing together with the congregation, A Mighty Fortress Is Our God, which, by the way, is also based on Psalm 46.

The Schedule
Below is our rehearsal schedule. Since there are only four full-group rehearsals total, we ask that you make every effort to join us for all four. If for any reason it turns out that you end up not being able to make it to at least three of the four, you would not be able to participate in the Reformation Sunday choir presentation this time around.

- (No rehearsal on October 2)
- Rehearsal #2: Wednesday, October 9, 7:15-8:30PM
- Rehearsal #3: Tuesday (not Wednesday), October 15, 7:15-8:30PM
- Rehearsal #4: Wednesday, October 23, 7:15-8:30PM
- Sound Check: Sunday, October 27, 8:30AM
- Service: Sunday, October 27, 9:30AM
